Well, grrr!

Back at it!
So now I know what a cold glass of water thrown in your face feels like.
My last post I was all about puppies and rainbows and unbridled optimism for the momentum my painting life seemed to have gained.
Hah!
Next time before I get too geeked I'll wait for the checks to clear.
While there's still been many positive things happening for me recently, I'd be lying if I didn't confess to disappointment, and even a bit of anger. Am I such a gullible idiot that everyone else in the world knows not to trust a stranger - except me?
- Random message from stranger gushing about a painting she just has to have.
- Gallery telling me her credit card does not go through.
- I reach out to supposed buyer and find I'm being ghosted! Unfortunately I'm familiar with how that feels, but nonetheless it hurts when it happens. Dang!
And, a second sure-fire new fan and big sale crashed and burned as well.
It's hard not to be a little bummed about this, but I will keep my chin up and stay the course. My success in life may not measured by my sales figures, but dang, that does help!
Such is life as an artist. No wonder so many of us are insecure!
